Bird in tree. These guys are hard to see also. This is full zoom with the 300mm IS. I was sort of taking pictures of the motion I saw rather than the bird itself, which looked like a dot.

A little miniture orchard landscaping thing. This entire area used to be orchards years ago, before the Silicon Valley exploded.

A jet flying very high, probably about 25-30k ft. It was a dot in the sky and took a few shots to see how well it'd come out at full zoom with the 75-300mm IS lens.

Came out pretty good for being so high up. Maybe wasn't THAT high. Perhaps only 15-20k ft. High enough that you could not really hear it.

One of the photog. web sites I've been reading talks about taking pictures of human subjects and developing the skills to persuade people to pose for you and so forth. I talks about being pushy and rude as the best way to do it.

The sun was shining on the leaves of these trees in such a way that they seemed to be glowing. Picture didn't really capture it :(.
